The Wedding Party

Adam Meierbachtol Adam Meierbachtol and Matt met at Gustavus Adolphus College in their freshman year. They lived in the same section and then lived together the next three years until graduation. Adam played guitar in Dignan and the Caw Kaws, Matt played drums, and Elias Kersten sang and played lead guitar. Adam is currently finishing his doctor of physical therapy degree from the University of Minnesota and will be working at Tria Orthopedic Center.

Chrissy Karst Chrissy Karst is Natalie's older sister. They have always had a very close relationship. Natalie is amazed at how hard she works as a mother and wife. Chrissy has a beautiful family with two of the most adorable kids, Matthew and Claire. She is currently working at Little Saints childcare center as a preschool teacher. Chrissy and her family live on Duck Lake in Madison Lake, MN.

Paul Burke Paul Burke and Matt met at Eden Prairie high school in the symphonic band during their freshman year, where both played percussion. Paul's family lived only 3.9 miles from Matt's house, so Matt was often at Paul's house. Paul graduated from St. Cloud State University with a degree in Business and Computer Information Systems while staying in touch with Matt. Paul lives in Minneapolis and works at Sunergi as a software consultant.

Jen Adams Jen Adams is Natalie's eldest sister. Jen claims that Natalie has always wanted to grow up and be just like her. This statement was usually made when Jen was antagonizing her little sister. Jen has always been supportive of Natalie and very protective of her too. Jen and Natalie have shared an apartment for the last year in Madison, WI. She is currently working as a housing manager at Common Wealth in Madison.

Andy Owen Andy Owen and Matt met at University of Wisconsin during Matt's first year of graduate school. Andy and Matt were in the same electromagnetics class along with Jason Greenwood and they all did homework together. Matt was a groomsman in Andy's wedding last summer. Andy graduated from UW Madison in 2007 with a Masters in Electrical Engineering and now works at Agilent Technologies in Illinois and lives in Lake Villa, IL with his wife Sarah.

Steph Lavia Steph Lavia and Natalie grew up very close. Stephanie has been more of a sister to Natalie then a cousin. There is only one year between them in age and Natalie always wanted what Stephanie had. When Stephanie cut all of her beautiful long hair off so did Natalie. Natalie's fondest memory of Stephanie is the many nights she would have to rub her arm and stay awake until she fell asleep. Stephanie is currently working as a Development Director and Spanish Teacher at a Catholic grade school in Chicago, IL.

Jason Greenwood Jason Greenwood and Matt also met in the same electromagnetics class with Andy Owen. Jason, Andy, Steve Quick, Punit Prakash, Derek Hower and Dave Hinkemeyer often were at happy hour at Madison's Bar after long days of research. Jason introduced Matt to the UW RFID lab, where Matt now works for part time. Jason graduated in 2008 with a Masters in Electrical Engineering and now works at IBM in Rochester, MN.

Megan Wiebold Megan Wiebold is Matt's younger sister. They have been close to each other for their entire lives... ever since she was born and Matt told their mom to "put it down!" Megan is finishing her degree in Journalism at University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and works for WQOW television station (ABC) in Eau Claire as an assistant director and has done some on camera work, which can be seen here.
